Fried Chicken Pie

With Triple Cooked Chips and a Green Salad
Pies by Squires take on a classic London fried chicken shop. Enjoy Chef Adam’s buttermilk fried chicken pie with pickled peppers, sautéed onions, and melted cheddar cheese. Encased in their classic suet crust, this Drop is served with crispy-on-the-outside-fluffy-and-soft-on-the-inside triple cooked chips (fries), along with homemade ketchup and a green salad.

  • 1 Fried Chicken Pie
  • 500g Triple Cooked Chips
  • 2 heads Gem Lettuce
  • 100g Homemade Ketchup
  • 100mL Salad Dressing

Make sure you’ve got a Baking Tray, a Wire Rack, and a Mixing Bowl. It’s also ideal to have a few staples on hand like Sea Salt. Now, let’s get cooking!

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Remove lid and place Fried Chicken Pie in oven on the middle rack.

3. Bake for 50 minutes or until golden brown.

4. Let Pie rest for 10 minutes.

5. At the same time the Pie is baking, empty the bag of Chips onto a wire cooking rack over a baking tray.

6. At the 30 minute mark of the Pie being in the oven, place the Chips in the oven as well on the top rack.

7. Cook Chips for 12 minutes, then turn them over for another 12 minutes.

8. While the Pie and Chips are resting, dress the Salad in a bowl with the Dressing.

9. You can season the Chips with a bit of salt (to desired taste) and serve in a bowl. Enjoy!
