Chef Rob Gentile brings the world’s rarest pasta to Chefdrop. Made entirely by hand with semolina dough and pulled into hundreds of thin threads, Su Filindeu is produced primarily in the remote region of Nuoro, Sardinia. The threads of pasta are laid onto special trays called Fondo in layers of three and left to dry, forming textile-like sheets. Imported directly from Italy, Chef Rob Gentile pairs this traditional hand pulled pasta with a rich and hearty lamb broth, pulled lamb neck, and pecorino fresco. This exclusive, limited time Drop is an elevated homestyle soup that will transport you to the Italian countryside.

    A rare treat

    The pasta was delicate and went well with the lamb broth! The cheese was excellent too.What a rare treat, we were able to make on a work night in only 15 mins!

    A unique Italian experience

    Honestly, I had discovered Su Filindeu nearly 5 years ago. I never thought I would get the chance and when I found out about Chefdrop through social, I couldn't believe that I could. From the way the package came to preparation, it was a fantastic experience. Not your average pasta dish and for those who want to explore "brodo" based pasta, this is one for the books.

    Excellent

    Intense flavors, beautiful broth and pulled lamb, one of a kind pasta, and fresh cheese made a beautiful heartwarming dish on a cold day. The ingredients came beautifully packaged with step by step simple preparation instructions. I would highly recommend everyone to try this!
