Chef Amy Heise brings her East Coast flare to Chefdrop! Influenced by the small coastal town in Newfoundland her family is from, Chef Amy’s approach to cooking is humble, seasonal food with a farm-to-table focus.

Cooking has always been an important part of Amy’s life, realizing from a young age that there was something truly special about food with summers spent preserving and pickling fruits and vegetables and baking bread in her grandmother’s kitchen. Cooking with a focus on seasonality and sustainability is the foundation of Amy’s culinary beginnings.

Surrounded by strong women who inspired her to pursue cooking, Chef Amy moved to Toronto to study at George Brown College. Under the tutelage of Chef Michael Angeloni and Chef Phil Nguyen, Amy honed her craft and gained experience managing kitchens and catering throughout her career as a chef.

Chef Amy’s philosophy to cooking is simple; she cooks because she loves to feed people. Wanting to share this experience with friends and family, Chef Amy and her partner began Tiny Goose in 2020, a pandemic passion project where she shared her fresh baked bread with natural preserves, homemade butter, and whipped goat cheese using 100 year old family recipes.

Chef Amy makes her Chefdrop debut with a curated Cheese Kit featuring a well rounded selection of cheese and accoutrements and a special Clothbound Cheddar from PEI, produced in the same region her family calls home. Looking ahead, Chef Amy hopes to bring her perspective of seasonal cooking to Chefdrop with more tasty and thoughtful recipes inspired by the East Coast.

Stay tuned, she may even bring her all-time favourite Newfie dish, Jiggs Dinner, to the platform!

This fee is in place to enable Chefdrop to provide you and our vendors with the consolidation and fulfilment services that allow you to experience exceptional food from across the province. It is equal to 10% of the subtotal – to a maximum of $20.
